Our History
A.C. Lewis Management LLC, headquartered in Baton Rouge, currently manages ten properties totaling 2000 units in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Houma. A.C. Lewis Management currently employs approximately 65 people in administration, management, and maintenance positions. As members of the National Apartment Association, our managers have completed a Certified Apartment Manager course and maintenance supervisors all have universal HVAC certification. Our people are a highly prized asset and are continually trained to keep up to date on the latest trends and legal developments in property management.
The “hands-on” philosophy of A.C. Lewis Management includes the personal involvement of the owner in the day-to-day operations of each property. A.C. Lewis Management, has owned, managed, and built apartment communities since 1936. A.C. Lewis, Jr., Arthur’s father, was prominent in the construction and management of many well known apartment communities and hotels in the Baton Rouge area.
A.C. Lewis III or “Bubba” as he is known to his friends and associates is a life-long resident of Baton Rouge and a business graduate of Louisiana State University. He has more than 30 years experience in managing multi-family housing, commercial office and retail leasing, as well as commercial construction, including office complexes and apartments.
